At long last I’ve finally found time to post some photo albums to our Picasa site. If you don’t have much time then you must at least see this first album. It is of the wonderful week Sharon & I spent in Chamonix, French Alps, with Mum and Dad earlier in the summer:
Next is the week I spent with Mum and Dad in North Wales. Unfortunately Sharon had run out of leave so could not join us, so I got to have some lovely quality time with Mum and Dad:
This next album is the most recent set of photos. We visited Jeffery and Stella Skitch in Lyminton for Mum & Dad’s last weekend in England. We stopped by Brighton on the way back to London. There’s also a photo at the end of Mum & Dad’s Bon-voyage dinner with our mates and Chris Skitch Jnr:
Now for some old photos take over 8 months or so.
Brazil Fancy Dress Party:
London Pride 2009:
Robin’s 30th Party:
V Festival 2009:
London Compilation - Summer 2009:
That’s it. Hopefully I’ll try and stay on top of the photos from now on.
Love Chris & Sharon oxo.
21C and sunny for the week ahead! Temps are well above the 14C average for this time of year. Here’s hoping we’re in for a good summer.
Despite nearing the end of another English Summer it still feel like we are in the middle of it. Not so much the wether but more the constant parties, festivals and carnivals. We forgot to take our camera to the Notting Hill Carnival last weekend, so unfortunately no photos to show you there. However did remember our camera the previous weekend for V Festival. It was our first “proper” festival, camping in a cow paddock in the Essex countryside for 4 days. We had an amazing time! The camping worked out perfectly and was lot of fun, and the music and bands were brilliant. I think we can look forward to doing it again some time, but I guess not until summer next year. Click here to see our V Festival photo album.
Another summer is in full swing over here. Last Saturday we had friends over to watch the Gay Pride parade. As usual it was full of colourful characters. See photos here:
Then on Sunday we went up to Hyde Park for the last day of the O2 Wireless Festival. Photos here:
Summer has finally arrived! A duck (from St James I presume) finds a cool spot in Trafalgar Square.
25C and perfect blue skys. It was supposed to be like this months ago. Better late than never I guess.
Summer finally arrives in London!! Actually its been here a whole week now! After the wettest May, June and July in history, I think we deserve a decent August. In fact I was talking to a cockney cabbie on Sunday and he reckons summer has shifted to August to November!!
Britons are resigned to suffering the worst summer in living memory with record rainfalls in June and July - and no sign of sunshine on the horizon in August.
Londoners in Hyde Park make the most of yesterday’s brief respite from bad weather
Forecasters believe this month may already be the wettest July on record - nine days before it ends. Experts forecast gales in the middle of the week and more rain going into early August.
As well as flood victims forced to abandon their homes, farmers are in despair at losing their crops. Ice-cream sellers described it as an “horrendous” summer.
Club cricketers saw their frustrations grow at another weekend washout.
Astronomers are complaining they have not had a cloudless night in months.
