Last weekend we travelled to Germany for Marcel & Mirjams wedding. They both live in Hamburg, however their wedding was in the beautiful little village in which they both grew up, called Lemgo. You can find Lemgo on Google maps here. In fact this wasn’t the first time we had been to Lemgo, click here to see photos of our previous trip there exactly four years ago. I used to work with Marcel at Shell have remained friends for many years. Marcel is in an Irish Folk/Rock band, you can check out his music here. Mirjam is also very musical having just completed her music studies at university. So as you might imagine, the wedding was a full of entertainment! There were choirs and soloists performing during the service, then at the reception there was a half a dozen or more separate performances including a jazz band, a rock band, barvian singers, and a beautiful song Mirjam composed and performed for Marcel… aaarrrhhhh. Suffice to say Sharon and I had a wonderful weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and meeting all the family and friends on Marcel & Mirjam.
