Three weeks to go! : Stag / Hen
We are still alive!! I think I speak for Shaz as well when I say I am glad last weekend is over and we can now happily go forth and be married! Want to hear more of our Stag and Hen weekends? Read on….
Well the inevitable had to happen, that right of passage, the last hurrah – our hen and stag weekends! I’m not going to write an essay, partly because it’s late on Wednesday night, partly because it’s a little bit rude, and mostly because there’s not really that much of excitement to tell you about. All in all I would say we had a relatively quiet and well and sensible good time with our respective mates.
The brief run down is as follows:
Roughly 16 girls, including Sharon’s mother Joy, met up at midday in the Soho’s red light district where a professional Australian girl taught them all Polish dancing!

Afterwards they enjoyed a late lunch before returning to Norway House for some light refreshments. I hear one drink lead to another which in turn lead to loud music and dancing. To everyone’s surprise, especially Sharon’s, a member of the metropolitan police constabulary arrived to ask them to turn the music down. What happened next was even more of a surprise!

Afterward, the ladies took a stretched limousine ride to an 80’s discothèque in Islington where they danced the night away (I understand though that their newly acquired Eastern European performance skill where not put to the test)

Meanwhile, Chris and his mates took a train from Waterloo on Friday evening to Bournemouth on England’s sunny south coast. On the Saturday they had a lovely game of law bowls, complete with tea and cakes. Chris lost.

And that’s our Stag and Hen report!
This weekend coming is our last before we head to South Africa! We arrive Durban on 16 September. In next week’s update I will include more details on this as well as contact numbers and address for us in South Africa.
Lots of love,
Chris & Sharon.
P.S. Thanks for the all the comments to last week’s post. There is rumour about of some stunning safari suits that might make for some tough judging for the fashion on the pitch award!
