What’s another week without another update from everyone’s favourite festival! In this update I have finally put together a selection of photos from our honeymoon and also I have a fun festival video clip courtesy of Trine and Phil!
Our “official” online wedding album is ready at last!
Shots by professional photographer, Adrian Shields, and post-production by myself.
As promised, you will find below various messages sent to Sharon and I for our wedding. Most of them were read during the reception.
I hope I have managed to published all them, however if I have missed any then please feel free to post in the comments at the bottom of the page.
Don’t forget, if you were would like to add you own stories and accounts of your time at the Wombok festival, then please do so using the comments on the Festival Report page.
What a truly incredible experience these past few weeks have been for Sharon & I. We are now married! This alone is very special, however something else rather special also happened. Friends and family came together for the first time, not just for one day, but for some it was more than a week. During this time there was much fun, games, drinking, driving dirt roads, flat tyres, Zulu singing and dancing, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Boerewors, Billtong, Braai’s, cricket, tears, exhaustion, happiness, hangovers, black eyes, roaring fires, fog, rain, sunshine and Fred the dog!
It really is quite overwhelming looking back on it all. So to ensure the memories are not lost, and also for the benefit of the many friends and family who were unable to make it to South Africa, Sharon and I will now attempt to report on the highlights of these recent events…
We are back in London overnight before we head to Genoa to commence our week long cruise around the Western Med. Feeling completely drained after the most amazing week of our lives! I think we deserve this honeymoon.
On the way to Durban airport we rendezvoused with the photographer and now have about 10GB of RAW images. I still need to go though them all and perform colour correction , touch up etc., however I have quickly worked on a few to give you, especially those who couldn’t make the big day, a taste of what the rest will be like.
In the coming weeks after our honeymoon I hope to put more complete selection of the official photos online. I also hope to write up a summary of the big day and also for the other big day – The LC Classic!

We made it!!! Arrived in Durban on Sunday and have been rushed off our feet since! Looking forward to relaxing with all our guests as they start to arrive. Not much time to give a full report, but have instead this week include the schedule of events and some photos.

We are still alive!! I think I speak for Shaz as well when I say I am glad last weekend is over and we can now happily go forth and be married! Want to hear more of our Stag and Hen weekends? Read on….
Less than a month to go now! In this second weekly update you can learn about this curious “LC Classic”. What is an LC? What makes it a Classic? And do I really have to play?
