Dad sent me this very moving account of his early childhood with his best mate Jim McLaughlin:
“This letter to Beruta McLaughlin (mother of Robert) is in response to a request I had from Beruta asking for a little information about Jim’s family. It covers a chunk of my life before I joined the Army although it is not comprehensively about me – just where I fitted in to the McLaughlin family.
